Originally, I was going to draw him as Michael the Archangel, but I decided against it. He still looks like his name should be Michael, oddly enough. But I like his face. I need to draw long chins more often. Ever noticed that all of the random face-doodles I keep are of men? I guess it's because most of my for-reals drawings are girls... Still, I find that funny and even kind of weird...

What made you decide against making Michael an Archangel?
He has such a strong, noble and handsome face. His eyes have sch a warmth yet a solid firmness to them. His hair is realistic scruffy yet somehow well-groomed. And the ears are incredible! I can never draw ears!
